Autumn term 'round-up'

After the excitement of our biannual show in July, this term has seen our students concentrating on their exam classes in ballet, tap and modern. Students who are ready to take the exams will be doing so next term and will be informed in writing at the beginning of next term and we would hope that students will practise as much as they can in between the festivities - believe us when we say we can always tell the ones who do!

Chris has been working away for some of this term, firstly working with David Hasslehoff (aka 'The Hoff') in Blackpool on 'Last night a DJ saved my life' and latterly directing 'Snow White and the seven dwarfs' in Laguna Beach, California.

In his absence our students have been fortunate to have their classes covered by working professionals who have all commented on how dedicated and hard working our students are.

At the end of term we had our fundraising Christmas disco in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. The disco has become somewhat of a Conti tradition and we have held one every year for ten years and in that time have raised hundreds of pounds for the charity.

Our teacher Liam also dressed up as Santa on the last day of term and although teaching in his furry red suit was hot and uncomfortable he was pleased with the results and was grateful for the support from students and parents alike.

Finally, one of our students, Sadie Smith, who has raised over £22,000 for Great Ormond Street over the last two and a half years, dressed up as an Elf for the day and also did well with her sponsorship, so again thank you for all your support.

We hope you all have a fantastic break and come back to us on the 9th of January ready to enjoy our Spring term.

Happy Christmas!
